Regulatory Research & Reporting Services – Toxicology
About
Large US-based company providing Regulatory research and SDS management services to assist clients in implementation of their compliance strategies.
Client Requirements
Toxicological data search and compilation analyzing and updating client databases
Experienced Toxicologists were required with a Master’s degree in Toxicology with expertise in regulatory data evaluation, GHS Classification, and exposure assessment, along with knowledge of testing methodologies (acute, chronic, and genetic toxicity)
Chemical Safety Evaluation – Human health hazard assessment, physicochemical hazard assessment, environmental hazard assessment, PBT and vPvB assessment, exposure analysis, and risk assessment
Our Solution
IDS deployed a highly experienced Toxicologist with a PhD degree for the pilot process. The job required daily communications with senior research scientists based at client locations in the USA through WebEx/emails to discuss and independently execute assigned research tasks
Retrieved and analyzed data from various databases (client-owned as well as public domain databases such as ECHA, TOXNET, USEPA etc.) for LD50, LC50, MAK values, OEL, ADI etc. as per client’s need
Updated data related to various endpoints in client in-house databases
Green scoring of chemical toxicity potential using the client’s in-house tools
Toxicological data search and compilation for the chemicals of interest and evaluation of their toxicity potential through analysis of acute and chronic toxicities, mutagenicity, genotoxicity, carcinogenicity, reproductive toxicity etc.
Chemical Safety Evaluation in compliance with REACH and GHS guidelines and hazard assessment
Analyzed mathematical models and their possible applications for predicting exposures and assessing possible hazards
Preparation and updation of data bases comprising information on physicochemical properties like color, solubility, melting point, boiling point, flash point, vapor pressure etc. using client provided information
